안녕하세요!

안녕하세요 / Hello! (:

Some time in the ancient past I told myself I'd try finding out why some people, ahemmm, are crazy over the Korean culture. Hahah. Admittedly I guess it's hard to deny the fact that there are really stellar individuals and groups in Korea that make the media industry shine.

After a trawl on ever reliable Wikipedia (questionable, after considering the fact that anyone can edit it.), this was what I could come up with:

The Korean wave or Korea fever refers to the significantly increased popularity of South Korean culture around the world since the 21st century, especially among the Net Generation.  The Korean wave is seen as a product of globalization and rise of capitalism in Asia. Advent of giant transnational media corporations in the 1990s lead to development of media technology and simultaneous circulation of media images and texts on a global level. This process prepared a system for the manufacture and circulation of popular culture within Asia. This made circulation of South Korean popular culture in Asia possible, and driven by the appeal of upscale hyper-modern lifestyles that South Korean popular culture provided, the Korean Wave spread among the rising middle-class in Asia and beyond.

It sure is spreading real fast?! Everywhere I turn my head now-a-days, it's Korean music and drama?!

Winter Sonata. Since the first time that a non Chinese/English based entertainment media that was ever played on home TV, years ago, I've got this impression that all Korean Dramas are emotional and teary. Really emotional. But you've got to say also, they're good, real good at what they do. I really enjoy Korean music pieces, some of them. There was this time when 7E had an Yiruma craze too. (:

The Korean pop music and media industry's rise; it's a feat to behold. Nevertheless, you can't possibly take the world by storm with fancy looking poster-people or digitally edited music. I heard this over the Korean drama Mom took on as a pastime recently. And in conclusion, I found it really nice, haha, though I really don't understand most of the language.

들리나요/ Can You Hear Me
The Beethoven Virus OST

I've surmised after thought that we've actually achieved something, having being pitted against universities and tertiary education institutions, of which experience isn't a fair basis of comparison upon. But then again, fourth place isn't a really glorified achievement, it'll be better the next time round.

태권도 Nationals, 21/5.
We'll do our best then.
Till then; SPAR! Hahahah. :D

Minus (-1)

One always holds two choices: to live life with dread and dissatisfaction, or live it with splendor and acceptance. They say the line between both, it's always sharp and clear. But what if, just what if, the line's blurred at times? Would one descend towards the retardation of values, be enveloped by the darkness?

If one were to fervently uphold the belief that the path of one's life has already been set in stone since the birth of the individual; that the wheels, already set in motion are immovable, unchangeable, is acceptance of one's destiny, the only route out to living life?

I choose not to believe it. And I dearly wish I've made the right choice in doing so.

March, it's March!

Ever wondered why, that when it's February, everything seems to go wrong? Well, I do. But smile, cause it's MARCH! (:

---

Laugh when we all still are able to! HAHA.

The doctor tells me I'm crazy, but the voices tell me I'm not. And I just don't know which one to believe. DANG!

#1 For the females
A man escapes from prison where he has been for 15 years. He breaks into a house to look for money and guns and finds a young couple in bed.

He orders the guy out of bed and ties him to a chair, while tying the girl to the bed he gets on top of her, kisses her neck, then gets up and goes into the bathroom. While he's in there, the husband tells his wife:

"Listen, this guy's an escaped convict, look at his clothes! He probably spent lots of time in jail and hasn't seen a woman in years. I saw how he kissed your neck." If he wants sex, don't resist, don't complain, do whatever he tells you. Satisfy him no matter how much he nauseates you. This guy is probably very dangerous. If he gets angry, he'll kill us. Be strong, honey. I love you."

To which his wife responds: "He wasn't kissing my neck. He was whispering in my ear. He told me he was gay, thought you were cute, and asked me if we had any vaseline. I told him it was in the bathroom. Be strong honey. I love you too!!"

#2 For the guys

A 70 year old man was having his annual checkup and the doctor asked him how he was feeling. "I've never been better!" he boasted. "I've got an eighteen year old bride who's pregnant and having my child! What do you think about that?"

The doctor considered this for a moment, then said, "Let me tell you a story. I knew a guy who was an avid hunter. He never missed a season. But one day went out in a bit of a hurry and he accidentally grabbed his umbrella instead of his gun."

The doctor continued, "So he was in the woods and suddenly a grizzly bear appeared in front of him! He raised up his umbrella, pointed it at the bear and squeezed the handle." "And do you know what happened?" the doctor queried.

Dumbfounded, the old man replied "No".

The doctor continued, "The bear dropped dead in front of him!"

"That's impossible!" exclaimed the old man.

"Someone else must have shot that bear."

"That's kind of what I'm getting at..." replied the doctor.

Finally, a section entitled to both sexes:

A language instructor was explaining to her class that French nouns, unlike their English counterparts, are grammatically designated as masculine or feminine. Things like “chalk” or “pencil,” she described, would have a gender association although in English these words were neutral.

Puzzled, one student raised his hand and asked, “What gender is a computer?”

The teacher wasn’t certain which it was, and so divided the class into 2 groups (male and female) and asked them to decide if a computer should be masculine or feminine. Both groups were asked to give four reasons for their recommendation.

The Men decided that computers should definitely be referred to in the feminine gender because:

No one but their creator understands their internal logic.

The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else,

Even your smallest mistakes are stored in long-term memory for later retrieval.

As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.

The Women concluded that computers should be referred to in the masculine gender because:

In order to get their attention, you have to turn them on.

They have a lot of data but are still clueless.

They are supposed to help you solve your problems, but half the time they ARE the problem.

As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you waited a little bit longer, you could have had a better model.

It's a wonder what you can find on the Internet.
Conclusion: Guys are always usually more insensitive. x)
(No gender discrimination intended though. All for the sake of simple pleasure ) :D

Holding On.

A commitment drawn from a relationship is more or less akin to that of a contract. You give some, you take some. Some see it as a burden at times, restrained you are, bound to the terms of the agreement you cannot go against. It is placing your trust within another, faith in the other with your emotions; or otherwise crudely put handing over your self-destruct button saying 'here, I trust you not to press it'. Yet on the other hand, limitless, derivable happiness and bliss. What I question at times: Is everything in life worth rushing out?

Three years is, a long time. Yeah, probably a good thousand odd days. Doubts, impulses, the list of negativity, it just grows. Is it worth it, my friend? You've thought over it, spent countless nights weighing your options before you slip into fitful sleep. And what for? You probably know what you want at the end of this road. But then again, knowing again doesn't equate actions, that you're clearest of. Or perhaps you need to redefine your standpoint towards the word 'prioritization'?

---

Never say I love you,
If you don't really care.
Never talk about feelings,
If they aren't really there.

Never hold my hand,
If you are going to break my heart.
Never say your going to,
If you don't plan to start.

Never look into my eyes,
If all you do is lie.
Never say "Hello",
If you really mean "Goodbye".

If you really mean forever,
Then say you'll try.
Never say forever,
Because forever makes me cry.

(This is rather interesting. Mmm.)
