Don't Be.

Don't be the person who falls and stays down.
Don't be the person who crumbles to the ground.
Don't be the person who goes down without a fight.
Don't be the person who just can't see the light.
Don't be the person who laughs at other's dreams.
Don't be the person who gives up when it seems,
That the world is ending,
That the beauty is gone,
That the problem's too big,
That they can't go on,
Be the person who stands tall and can say,
"hey, there is always another day."
When you fall get back up,
When your hit stay standing,
When it looks like the odds are not in your favor,
fight till you can't help but waiver,
When you think times are tough look at the good side instead of the bad,
When you hear someone's goal, a hope, a wish or a dream smile and say,
"I'm on your team"
Don't give up,
Never back down,
Stand strong,
Laugh loud,
Through all the good times and the bad,
Be the you, you want to be,
Not the you who you wouldn't want to see yourself be. (:

I'm really a blessed kid. I am.

Blessed with such a wonderful family; I've all of them at my side, whenever, and whatever calls for it. I have their support in what I do, and their unselfish love and care. Without them, I am, not who I am today. What more could one ask for when he has with him a warm and loving family?

Blessed with such a great circle of friends, whom are ever willing to lend a helping hand, and provide what a person needs most, companionship.
Below are a few quotes that are kinda cool:
-If all my friends were to jump off a bridge, I wouldn't jump with them, I'd be at the bottom to catch them
-Never explain yourself. Your friends don’t need it and your enemies won’t believe it.
-I believe in angels, the kind that heaven sends. I'm surrounded by angels, and I call them my best friends.

I am also, really grateful, to have such a wonderful environment, such a wonderful class. (:

It's a good depiction, some of them. Which are more applicable to ourselves?

Lessons in Life

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. It's okay to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

12. It's okay to let your children see you cry.

13. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks.

16. Life is too short for long pity parties. Get busy living, or get busy dying.

17. You can get through anything if you stay put in today.

18. A writer writes. If you want to be a writer, write.

19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22. Over-prepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important sex organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: "In five years, will this matter?"

27. Always choose life.

28. Forgive everyone everything.

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.

35. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.

36. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood. Make it memorable.

38. Read the Psalms. They cover every human emotion.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.

41. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

42. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.

43. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

44. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

45. The best is yet to come.

46. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

47. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

48. If you don't ask, you don't get.

49. Yield.

50. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.

A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell. He painted a sign advertising the 4 pups, and set about nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard.

As he was driving the last nail into the post, he felt tug on his overalls.

He looked down into the eyes of a little boy.

"Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your puppies."

"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat of the back of his neck, "these puppies come from fine parents and cost a good deal of money."

The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then reaching deep into his pocket,
he pulled out a handful of change and held it up to the farmer. "I've
got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take a look?"

"Sure," said the farmer. And with that he let out a whistle. "Here Dolly!" he called.

Out from the doghouse and down ramp ran Dolly followed by four little balls of fur.

The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence. His eyes danced with delight.

As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed
something else stirring inside the doghouse.

Slowly another little ball appeared, this one noticeably smaller.

Down the ramp it slid. Then in a awkward manner, the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up....

"I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the runt.

The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said, "Son, you don't want that puppy. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would."

With that the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers. In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself to a specially made shoe.

Looking back up at the farmer, he said, "You see sir, I don't run too well myself, and he will need someone who understands."

With tears in his eyes, the farmer reached down and picked up the little pup. Holding it carefully he handed it to the little boy.

"How much?" asked the little boy.

"No charge," answered the farmer, "There's no charge for love." (:

A tendon (or sinew) is a tough band of fibrous connective tissue that usually connects muscle to bone[1] and is capable of withstanding tension. Tendons are similar to ligaments and fascia as they are both made of collagen except that ligaments join one bone to another bone, and fascia connect muscles to other muscles. Tendons and muscles work together and can only exert a pulling force.

The tendons in the foot are highly complex and intricate. If any tendons break it is a long, painful healing process, not to mention the intricacy of the repairing (if fully severed) process. Most people that do not receive medical attention within the first 48 hours of the injury will suffer from severe swelling, pain, and an on-fire feeling where the injury occurred. They are very painful when they are inflamed or not in use. Gradually, over a time period of about one year, the tissue will turn from fibrous to scar-like.

1 year. ):

Remember,

10 years ago when we were just in P1:
"Primary school is boring; I want to go to secondary school. Life would be better there."

And another 6 years later when we were little boys in khaki shorts:
"I miss my primary school just a little bit. And I don't like my new khaki shorts, they're too.. ughh, short? Those brass buttons hurt too when you carry your bag. And why am I not allowed to decide the length of my socks?! I want to go to junior college, there are girls there. :D "

Following another 4 years, we're in jc, where we wanted to be years ago.

Are we, #1:happy with what we are doing now? Contented? Satisfied with our environment?
Or are we, #2:suddenly missing what we have in the past, both primary and high school lives?

I've friends, many, made over the years. Some close, others closer, others, some others, barely in contact, anymore. And well these friends I am indebt to, they'd seen me through the years, we'd days full of laughter (still having), we'd done all the little things that one can ever dream to do, and yea, no one bothered how stubborn, hot headed, crude we were. Times change, people do, too.

As students, we study.
The main focus, the main priority, it is still studying, isn't it.
I am grateful, for all the little stuff that, peppered, cinnamoned, thymed, (actually, spiced) up my life.
And I know that I still would, for what I would leave this school at the end of JC2, would be good memories of the times I had in this wonderful school, the brilliant, close companions I've had.

Hello.

To converse, to relate.
It isn't easy, isn't it? I find it so.
Least when ya know exists,
that rift, that ever-extending gap, that bridge.
Yeah, and of course I know I'd give a wave, say a word or two.
But I know, when it's all said and done,
I'd still be me, just a different me.
I can't afford to, and would not, try holding anything back.

'Like a kite, flitting in the strong winds, few strings, would be able to hold it back'

And people have asked, falling, and being pushed down again, isn't painful?
They would always ask, "don't you hate them who pushed you to the ground?"
And I will reply, smiling,
'Nope, I'm fine, thanks for the concern. I know what you think, but hey, think about it, it is them, who help you grow stronger. Pushed to the ground, you're wounded, but you grow back, just fine, stronger even."
But I know, when it's all said and done,
I wouldn't, and will never, stand in the way, more out of it, haha.
For importantly, if I'm eventually fine, when others are happy, that's what matters, isn't it?
Such is life, cest la vie.

Bye. (:

Chris Daughtry! I like his songs, these and a few more.

Over you -- Chris Daughtry

Now that it's all said and done,
I can't believe you were the one
To build me up and tear me down,
Like an old abandoned house.
What you said when you left
Just left me cold and out of breath.
I fell too far, was in way too deep.
Guess I let you get the best of me.

Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
I'm slowly getting closure.
I guess it's really over.
I'm finally getting better.
And now I'm picking up the pieces.
I'm spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together.
'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through,
I got over you.

You took a hammer to these walls,
Dragged the memories down the hall,
Packed your bags and walked away.
There was nothing I could say.
And when you slammed the front door shut,
A lot of others opened up,
So did my eyes so I could see
That you never were the best for me.

Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
I'm slowly getting closure.
I guess it's really over.
I'm finally getting better.
And now I'm picking up the pieces.
I'm spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together.
'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through,
I got over you.

Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.

Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
I'm slowly getting closure.
I guess it's really over.
I'm finally getting better.
And now I'm picking up the pieces.
I'm spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together.
Well I'm putting my heart back together,
'Cause I got over you.
Well I got over you.
I got over you.
'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through,
I got over you.

Life isn't like a box of chocolates... in the box, they always have the flavors printed on the underside of the lid. Nope, life is more like walking around in a huge, dark, winding cave. You never know when you're going to hit a dead end, meet unexpected visitors (both good and bad), or round the next corner to find the shining light of your way out. And in a cave, there's always room for one more, another one, and another one; you never have to be alone if you don't want to.

HAHA! :D

Husband : "Why is it that, whenever I get mad at you, you never fight back? How do you control your anger so well?"

Wife : "I clean the toilet."

Husband : "And how does that help?"

Wife: "I use your toothbrush ." (:

Interestingly, Koi, when put in a fish bowl, will only grow up to three inches. When this same fish is placed in a large tank, it will grow to about nine inches long. In a pond koi can reach lengths of eighteen inches. Amazingly, when placed in a lake, koi can grow to three feet long. The metaphor, obvious. We are limited by how you see the world."

would everything, be wiped off, like on a slate, clean; or like how the rain, washes off stains?
Or would it, like a message, carved upon stone, be set till the end of time?

hellos, they're made. and of course,
goodbyes, they're said, too.
as are hard as they are to say; they eventually, have to be done.
and done, it was.
bye.

forget us not.
and of course, all the best in your future endeavors. (:

tau, plaque, brillo pad.
the only questions: how long will it take?
time heals all living, they say, time heals all.
but of course, i salute thee, for the effort to palm one's future,
to put down the restraining factor, and waltz along the path to greatness. (:

'An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.'

And with that, why live for vengeance, why pursue unhappy troubles, only to rest when parties involved are at a loss? Why not smile, forgive, forget? (GP passages are kinda interesting sometimes. A new, refreshing perspective.) (:

If you're worth nothing in the eyes of the other person,
the other person similarly,
should be worth nothing to you.
Why value our trusty canine friends over wives:

1. The later you are, the more excited your dogs are to see you.

2. Dogs don't notice if you call them by another dog's name.

3. Dogs like it if you leave a lot of things on the floor.

4. A dog's parents never visit.

5. Dogs agree that you have to raise your voice to get your point across.

6. You never have to wait for a dog; they're ready to go 24 hours a day.

7. Dogs find you amusing when you're drunk.

8. Dogs like to go hunting and fishing.

9. A dog will not wake you up at night to ask, "If I died, would you get another dog?"

10. If a dog has babies, you can put an ad in the paper and give them away.

11. A dog will let you put a studded collar on it without calling you a pervert.

12. If a dog smells another dog on you, they don't get mad. They just think it's interesting.

13. Dogs like to ride in the back of a pickup truck.

And last but not least...
14. If a dog leaves, it won't take half of your stuff. :D

---

There are things we don't want to happen; but things we have accept.
Things we don't want to learn; but have to learn them anyway.
And people, objects, memories, commitments; we have to let them go.

If regret were the only end in mind,
Why indulge in that, that would bring sorrow, or regret?
In haste, without careful consideration, or simply for personal reasons?

Everyone, has their fair share of troubles, everyone.
But it doesn't mean he who has troubles would collapse under its weight.
For most come out, stronger.

Know what you want, follow your thoughts.
And most of all, keep believing in yourself, for tomorrow, the next day, would be a better one.
The world has been, and would be still, a beautiful place. (:

GO! The extra mile.
GO! An added distance, with doubled the efforts.
GO! With only your goals in mind.
GO! The distance, go where no one has.

For this time, we'll be unhindered, we'll take the world by storm, we'll let nothing, absolutely nothing, hold us back. (:

31 July, 2009

It's the 31st today. Counting back 100 days ago, it was the 22th of April. And another 100 days later, it would be, the 7th of November. How, we have spent our time? Was it worth the while? Worth all the efforts?

How have we changed, over the past few months/years. Drastically? Or is it not? Myself? A lot more than imaginable, but it'll do no justice, if I were to say that it is a lot more to handle, for what of today, is attributed, mainly to past experience, ones which had sculpted you, shaped your character. Or even the people around you, who influence, affect your thinking. We become rugged, yes, weary, yes, but more aware too, more resistant, are we.

-- . 17

I realized, with the help of some guidance - that we shouldn't be who are aren't, but who we are. About not trying to suit others at the expense of losing yourself, but retaining your identity, whilst influence others, from the inside. And what said, being nice to the people around you at the cost to yourself; it is a good thing, but why forsake your happiness, why feel miserable, why keep the act up, if naught is received and you find it hard to come to terms with yourself?

And of course, conscience and all, I guess the important lesson is to, actually, be true to yourself, and importantly, be yourself. We set goals, but how many times do we actually follow it through. Drop out of it halfway, or not even willing to take the first step, are we?

'And if you let that get the better of you, as much as you try, you wouldn't be able to keep that up, Jonathan, you'll break.' I owe a lot to certain individuals, they who have pointed out directions, they who have acted as the guiding stars in the forlorn surroundings of the desert, leading the lost, weary travelers out of their plight. Thanks. (:

I'll find my old self. I will. And it's a promise.

And 10 years down the road, I hope to, and want to, be able to look back at the days in JC, have a good laugh over stuff, rethink the happy moments, and yearn for what it is to be, 17, again.
