Go now, and live.

Short excerpt which I found rather heart-warming:

Go now, and live.
Experience. Dream. Risk. Close your eyes and jump. Enjoy the freefall. Choose exhilaration over comfort. Choose magic over predictability. Choose potential over safety. Wake up to the magic of everyday life. Make friends with your intuition. Trust your gut. Discover the beauty of uncertainty. Know yourself fully before you make promises to another. Make millions of mistakes so that you will know how to choose what you really need. Know when to hold on and when to let go. Love hard and often and without reservation. Seek knowledge. Open yourself to possibility. Keep your heart open, your head high and your spirit free. Embrace your darkness along with your light. Be wrong everyday once in a while, and don't be afraid to admit it. Awaken to the brilliance in ordinary moments. Tell the truth about yourself no matter what the cost. Own your reality without apology. See goodness in the world. Be Bold. Be Fierce. Be Grateful. Be Wild, Crazy and Gloriously Free. Be You.
Go now, and live.

Passings.

-' "Life is short". What the hell??? Life is the longest damn thing anyone ever does!!! What can you do that's longer?'

People come, people go.
The never ebbing flow.

What's, one more, or one less?
Just another drop in the wide expanse of ocean we deem as life.
One more, one less, does it matter?

Or perhaps the subject in question is how close you were in relation.
Forlorn stranger? "Bahh, for all I care.", "Ohh, I'm sorry for your loss."
Acquaintance? "My condolences.", "Hope you don't take it too harsh"
Friend? "He was a great guy." A few tears perhaps, then put away from memory.
Close individual?

If life were this precious, why do people only treasure it only in its absence?

---

Thank you, my little friend. May you finally be at rest.

---

Her hair was up in a ponytail
Her favorite dress tied with a bow
Today was Daddy's Day at school
And she couldn't wait to go.
But her mommy tried to tell her,
That she probably should stay home.
Why the kids might not understand,
If she went to school alone.
But she was not afraid;
She knew just what to say.
What to tell her classmates
Of why he wasn't there today.
But still her mother worried,
For her to face this day alone.
And that was why once again,
She tried to keep her daughter home.
But the little girl went to school,
Eager to tell them all.
About a dad she never sees,
A dad who never calls.
There were daddies along the wall in back,
For everyone to meet
Children squirming impatently,
Anxious in their seats.
One by one the teacher called,
Each student from the class.
To introduce their daddy,
As seconds slowly passed.
At last the teacher called her name,
Every child turned to stare.
Each of them was searching,
For a man who wasn't there.
"Where's her daddy at?"
She heard a boy call out.
"She probably doesn't have one"
Another student dared to shout.
And from somewhere near the back,
She heard a daddy say,
"Looks like another deadbeat dad,
Too busy to waste his day."
The words did not offened her,
As she smiled up at her mom.
And looked back at her teacher,
Who told her to go on.
And with hands behind her back,
Slowly she began to speak.
And out from the mouth of a child,
Came words incredibly unique.
"My daddy couldn't be here,
Because he lives so far away.
But I know he wishes he could be,
Since this is such a special day.
And though you cannot meet him,
I wanted you to know.
All about my daddy,
And how much he loves me so.
He loved to tell me stories
He taught me to ride my bike.
He surprised me with pink roses,
And taught me to fly a kite.
We used to share fudge sundaes,
and ice cream in a cone.
And though you cannot see him,
I'm not standing here alone.
Cause my daddy's always with me
Even though we are apart.
I know because he told me,
He'll forever be in my heart."
With that, her little hand reached up,
and lay across her chest.
Feeling her own heartbeat,
Beneath her favorite dress.
And from somewhere in the crowd of dads,
Her mother stood in tears.
Proudly watching her daughter,
Who was wise beyond her years.
For she stood up for the love
Of a man not in her life.
Doing what was best for her,
Doing what was right.
And when she dropped her hand back down,
Staring straight into the crowd.
She finished with a voice so soft,
But its message clear and loud.
"I love my daddy very much,
He's my shining star.
And if he could he'd be here,
But heaven's just too far.
You see he was a fireman
And died just this past year.
When airplanes hit the towers
And taught Americans to fear.
But sometimes when I close my eyes,
It's like he never went away."
And then she closes her eyes,
And saw him there that day.
And to her mother's amazement,
She witnessed with surprise.
A room full of daddies and children,
All starting to close their eyes.
Who knows what they say before them,
Who knows what they felt inside.
Perhaps for merely a second,
They saw him at her side.
"I know you're with me Daddy."
To the silence she called out.
And what happened next made believers,
Of those once filled with doubt.
Not one in that room could explain it,
For each of their eyes had been closed.
But there on the desk beside her,
Was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose.
And a child was blessed, if only for a moment,
By the love of her shining bright star.
And given the gift of believing,
That heaven is never too far

Love, Hate, where's the line?

Love, hate, where's the line drawn?

If I give you a gun, will you pull the trigger?
Does holding the gun make you feel bigger?
If I give you a bat, will you beat me until I break?
Does seeing my pain make you feel more awake?
If I give you a knife, will you stab me in the back?
Does murder make up for the things that you lack?
If I give you a noose, will you put it around my throat?
Does my death give you a reason to gloat?
If I give you a pillow, will you smother me in my sleep?
Does my suffocation give you something to reap?
If I give you a pill, will you force me to swallow it?
Does my scream make you feel much more legit?
If I give you a syringe, will you stick it in my arm?
Does injustice give you more of a charm?
If I give you a razor, will you drain all of my blood?
Does my lifeless body make you feel like a stud?
If I give you a car, will you run over my body?
Does seeing my life drain away make you feel less shoddy?
If I give you a fire, will you burn me alive?
Does witnessing my agony help you survive?
If I give you some water, will you shove me under?
Does my drowning make you feel like a wonder?
If I give you reason on why I want to die
Will you be the one to help me say good-bye…?

Smile, because it happened.

Your Call.

Freedom Is To You Calling

By Peter S. Quinn

Freedom is to you calling,
Give life a heart so brave;
Each night hours are falling,
Into a dim hollow grave.
Hatred can be bottomless,
If you'll allow it to be;
But life is so fresh,
If it becomes all free.

Days by days will end,
But love can never so do;
Only down it will bend,
If it's not completely true.
Evening becomes a night,
Gathering shadows around;
Hold your feelings all right,
Lost can again be found.

Freedom is truth wearing,
Never a lie there inside;
Everyone else bearing,
Not from ourselves there hide.
You can grow out wisdom,
If the right seeds are sown;
For the conditions are calm,
If you acknowledge and atone.

Throw me a lifebouy, and I'll survive

'It's amazing how someone can break your heart, but you still love them with all the little pieces.' Aye. Such, is love. For all the little things they have done for you, you love them in return every bit. Unknowingly, but definitely.

At times, we ask ourselves.

Of all people, why myself.
Is there any worse to what I can face.
Can anyone understand the pain I am going through.

We grief, for what we've been through, at the fact that seemingly, no other shares the pain we face. That no one understands, nor have any idea. "What do they know about me, they're not in my shoes, they're not facing what I am going through. How do they even think they can care, least help."

We shut ourselves out.

And allow ourselves to drown. Drown, beneath the despair, never to resurface. 'neath the crushing weight lying on your heart, under the stabbing pain that prior to this we do not know capable to be invoked. We allow ourselves to let our emotions take over, we run away from the problem, hoping that all would be better; ultimately leaving the problem, unsolved. After all, I've seen silly people whom take it out on themselves physically, their silly explanation: well, physical pain's less hurtful than the emotional surges that you suffer from. Avoiding the problem, although less harmful, does not alleviate the situation either.

I've realized, that running away from a problem does not help.
Evading, eluding the problem does not necessary solve it.
Be positive.

Though know not, the nature or cause of your worries,
I know, that,
Through the rain, through the storms,
Over mountain peaks and craggy ravages.
They've seen you through.
That they've provided, a sanctuary,
Filled with that of warmth, security, kindness
Love.
I know too, that,
Have they not been there the past many years,
We would be, who we are today.
Have faith.

They've given us more than we can expect, made sacrifices bigger than we can ask for. And yet for what reason, or what in return?

Having said, it is hard sometimes for us to put the blame on others, when we know that they attribute in their own way, to a certain part of whom we are today, without which, who knows where we'll be. I believe, that what is done, can be explained. Though hard to accept at times, it can be explained. Just most of the time, blocked out or not given a chance to be expressed.

I believe that in you, you've a spark, a spark waiting to expand. A spark, of hope.
I believe that in you, there is a never say die spirit.
I believe that you are strong. I believe in you.
So please, don't give up just yet. For it is the darkest before dawn.

To you my friend, stay happy.

Blame.

We are taught you must blame your father, your sisters, your brothers, the school, the teachers-you can blame anyone, but never blame yourself. It's never your fault. But it's always your fault, because if you want to change, you're the one who has got to change. It's as simple as that, isn't it?

Boss.

Stand on top of the world you do,
Your world.
Being the boss, you think?
Your own enterprise.
Problem in your busy timetable?
Reschedule it.
And of course, do what you do best. Boss.

CEOs, Chairpersons, Heads. Big deal?

You hold the position, you call the shots.
Yeah, thats the way it goes.
Only to the deserving, I think, only to the deserving.
A leader, I would say would be someone who shares the same passion as his co-workers, and feel for their common belongings. Similarly, only an employee sharing the same ideals, feeling for his company, should be deserving of the position. That what I've seen, and learnt, from a great friend.

If you're a nobody and would think about taking on two sides and going about with a half baked attitude, forget about it. No one appreciates you.
If you think you can boss people around with your attitude, you're wrong.
Who are you to do that, if you don't have the best interests of everyone in mind.

Who'll be the ultimate winner in this world. That's a thought.
We are who we are. Things change, events change, people change, we change.

The higher I go,
The further I climb.
Yes, the harder will I fall, (no thanks to Newton)
But the higher from the ground will I bounce from.

I've seen dogs getting provoked, cats being poked recently.
They yap, scratch, yowl, throw animal-tantrums.
Nasty, nasty animals with bad attitudes. Keep them in check please, dear owner..

Faith

Faith is not belief without proof, but rather, trust without reservation.

Faith, the simple word
Faith, the intangible quality
Faith, the miracle worker
Faith, humankind's salvation
Faith, what keeps us afloat

To believe wholeheartedly, unselfishly, regardless of any outside influences.
To believe during the most dire situations, the most unfavorable, in the ones you placed your trust in, that you would not doubt his actions, nor words.
To believe and trust; my perception of faith.

To a mother with her son lying death-like on the hospital bed warded after an accident, it is her faith in the doctors, in her son, that keeps her going on.
To a family whom has weathered storms of possibly infidelity and adultery; faith, and love are what keeps them together, not tattered and torn.
Distances, created over the years, owe only to strong faith and belief, that this gap is able to be bridged.

The mother's faith in her children.
A teacher's faith in her students.
Like lovers whom faith transcends physical boundaries.
Keeping faith. We choose either to, or not.

Go slow, o lost explorer, go slow,
For lost cities only hide, they do not elude.
Time changes, people changes,
What is the past, might not be the present.
Ponder what you want, o lost explorer,
Fields of silver, gold, riches abound,
or possibly a long lost love, never found.

To you, my friend,
Make haste, but do not rush.
Think, reflect, ask, do you really want it.
Then act as your heart tells you to.

Don't look away.

It's only life. Kate Voegele.

Tears are forming in your eyes,
a storm is warning in the skies,
the end of the world it seems,
you bend down and you fall on your knees,
well get back on your feet ,yeah,
don't look away, don't run away,
baby it's only life,
don't lose your faith, don't run away,
it's only life.
you were always playing hard,
never could let down your guard,
you can't win, if you never give in,
to that voice within, saying pick up your chin,
baby let go of it , yeah,
don't look away, don't run away ,
baby, it's only life.
don't lose your faith, don't run away,
baby it's only life.
take your hesitance, and your self defense,
leave them behind, it's only life,
don't be so afraid of facing every day,
just take your time, it's only life,
i'll be your stepping stone, don't be so alone,
just hold on tight,it's only life,
oh..don't look away, don't run away,
baby it's only life,
don't lose your faith, don't run away, baby, it's only life,
it's only life, it's only life,
don't look away...

There's no point in turning away, nor to cower in desperation. Hold on to our faiths, we'll face everyday and its problems, won't we. (:
