Limits: the final, utmost, or furthest boundary or point as to extent.
Often we attribute our futile attempts at our tasks at hand at being chained down by our physical restraints or let our progress be hampered by surrounding influences. Yet, why are people still overcoming their shortcomings and exceeding their limits daily? Do all of us not have a breaking point; a maximum?
I hate it when at my limits, I'm being pushed further; but I know, it's the only way I'll improve.
I hate it when delirious and weary, swimming coach goes '" some more and you will start from 0" I hate that especially.
But I've learnt, it is about not looking back until you reach the end, not pausing, just like the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. Look back and falter halfway, all efforts would be lost, you'd just be consumed, by exhaustion, or otherwise.
I think, the main factor for which people are unwilling to challenge their limits, is fear. The fear of not knowing what would happen if they do. The fear of bad consequences should they over-do their bodily limitations. The fear of failing in attempt to do so. Conquer the fear, conquer your challenges. Of course, know your limits.
If you're on the verge of giving up, wearied, exhausted, struggling, what would drive you forward? Motivations! (:
