Untruths.

The worst lies are the lies we tell ourselves. We live in denial of what we do, what we think.
We do this because we're afraid. -Richard Bach

Present, Past, Perfect.
To lie, to have lied, to lie.

Lies; An untruthful statement.
The fundamental constitution of the human psyche.

We inundate ourselves with impeccable lies, reason being?
Comfort, sense of security, to ignore, to obscure partial truth in desperate bids of preventing harm.

Lying to oneself, lying to others. Lying to protect, lying to assure. Lying for a myriad of different reasons.
Sad thing is, it'll never go far; it risks self-implosion, having snowballed having been repeated again and again.
It doesn't change any fact, that what's gone, is gone; what's over, is over; what cannot be unchanged, remains unchanged, finalized, set in stone.

We fear we will not find, what we ultimately desire for, and when we find it we fear we'll lose it. We fear that if we do not have possess this desire or goal, we will be unhappy.”

Lie not, to one adept at bending the truth. He'll smell you out in an instant. Simply, be you. Why not? Hah.

A Minister was walking down the street when he came upon a group of about a dozen boys,
all of them between 10 and 12 years of age. The group had surrounded a dog. Concerned lest
the boys were hurting the dog, he went over and asked "What are you doing with that dog?"

One of the boys replied, "This dog is just an old neighborhood stray. We all want him, but
only one of us can take him home. So we've decided that whichever one of us can tell the
biggest lie will get to keep the dog."

Of course, the reverend was taken aback. "You boys shouldn't be having a contest telling lies!"
he exclaimed. He then launched into a ten minute sermon against lying, beginning, "Don't you
boys know it's a sin to lie," and ending with, "Why, when I was your age, I never told a lie."

There was dead silence for about a minute. Just as the reverend was beginning to think he'd
gotten through to them, the smallest boy gave a deep sigh and said,
"All right, give him the dog."

Tu ne porteras point de faux témoignage à moi-même, encore une fois.

A listening ear always helps.
A teacher; a friend; an online journal, private to all but oneself. Anything.
Thou shalt not bear false witness to thyself, again.
Dankë ;D
